20-Year Reunion Success

On Friday and Saturday evenings, Oct. 10 & 11, 2003, we had our 20-year class reunion.  About 30 of our 50 classmates attended along with spouses, children and guests.

Friday night we had our own BBQ tent set up near the football field at the SBEC campus.  The Trojan football team was playing their homecoming game which made for the perfect time to see old schoolmates from other classes.

We had special guests Friday evening consisting of former teachers, coaches and even our headmaster.  Paul & Nellita Young, Wayne & Ann Tapp, David Manley and Fred Sheron were on hand to help keep us in line.  How wonderful it was to see them and to see them doing well!

Saturday evening was an incredibly fun time as we were able to get together and share a nice meal and great memories.  Class President John Jackson hosted the evening and allowed everyone the opportunity to introduce their guests and share an update concerning what's going on in their lives.

Those 80's music (oldies) helped set the theme for the evening, and several people - Tina Sanford Hopkins, especially - helped bring back the memories with many pictures, programs, shirts and athletic attire of our high school days.

It was a really incredible time for everyone, and it was great to see how well everyone was doing.  The Lord has blessed us all so much, and we hope He gives us plenty more opportunities in the future to celebrate our friendship!
